やむなき【止むなき･已むなき】

⇒やむをえない.

●悔やんでもやむなきことながらしかたがない. No matter [Regardless of] how much you regret it, it won't do you any good [you can't do anything about it now].

…のやむなきに至る 〔やむを得ず…する事態になる〕 be compelled [forced] to do 《in view of the circumstances》.

●諸般の事情により当誌はこのたび廃刊のやむなきに至りました. Circumstances compel us to cease publication of our magazine.
